Cecilia Flores
Fellow (2026-2027), Initiative on Catholic Social Thought and Public Life
Cecilia Flores currently serves as executive director of the Catholic Volunteer Network. She is the daughter of Filipino immigrants who grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area. Her deep conviction that the people closest to the struggle hold the clearest vision of what justice requires has taken her from six years of living and serving in Honduras, to youth and campus ministry in California, to community organizing and human services work rooted in the belief that real change is built from the ground up. She has served as a consultant for the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops’ Committee on Cultural Diversity in the Church, and was a U.S. delegate to the 2021 and 2025 World Meeting of Popular Movements. Cecilia holds an M.A. in global development and social justice from St. John’s University and a certificate in faith, innovation, and social impact from New York University.
