Initiative on Catholic Social Thought and Public Life

Veronica (Vero) Uribe-Kessler (SFS’25) is a student fellow for the Initiative on Catholic Social Thought and Public Life at Georgetown University. Vero is a second-year master’s candidate in Global Human Development in the School of Foreign Service. She is pursuing a certificate in gender, peace, and security with the Georgetown Institute for Women, Peace, and Security. She is driven to address the interconnected challenges of global development such as displacement, gender, and climate change, and is fluent in English, Spanish, and French.

Vero started attending Initiative dialogues in the fall 2023 semester when she first came to Georgetown for her master’s. As a member of the Initiative team, she enjoys connecting with people from diverse backgrounds and finding ways to uplift her values and Catholic teachings in her community.
